The Styberg Library is located directly inside the main seminary building with the large square tower. When you enter through the tower, the library will be on your right. An accessible entrance is located to the left of the main tower entrance. Press 1 for the first floor. Once you exit the elevator, turn right and go to the end of the hallway for the library.

From the north via I-94
Take I-94 south to Skokie Boulevard
Continue southbound on Skokie Boulevard approximately 2 miles to Golf Road
Turn left at the traffic light onto eastbound Golf Road
Continue on Golf Road approximately 4 miles into Evanston, where Golf Road will become Emerson Street
Follow Emerson until you get to Sheridan Road
Turn left onto northbound Sheridan Road
Take Sheridan Road 2 1/2 blocks until you reach Garrett Place
Turn right onto Garrett Place. The seminary is at the end of Garrett Place
From the west or northwest via I-88, I-90 or I-190 (from O’Hare)
Take I-88, I-90 or I-190 eastbound until you reach northbound I-294 (toward Wisconsin)
Take I-294 north to the Dempster Street east exit
Follow Dempster Street approximately 10 miles through Park Ridge, Niles, Morton Grove, and Skokie to Evanston
At Chicago Avenue in Evanston, turn left. Chicago Avenue will merge with Sheridan Road at Northwestern University
Follow Sheridan Road 3 1/2 blocks until you reach Garrett Place
Turn right onto Garrett Place. The seminary is at the end of Garrett Place.
From downtown Chicago via US-41 (Lake Shore Drive)
Take US-41 (Lake Shore Drive) north until it becomes Hollywood Street
Turn right onto northbound Sheridan Road. Follow Sheridan Road approximately 6 miles into Evanston
When you come to Northwestern University, 3 blocks after the sharp bend to the right, watch for Garrett Place.
Turn right onto Garrett Place. The seminary is at the end of Garrett Place.
Two-hour curbside parking is available on the Garrett Place circle drive on a first come/first serve basis. The City of Evanston patrols and tickets cars that linger beyond 2 hours. There is also a gated lot just off of the circle. Access cards are available for purchase at the Garrett reception desk during regular weekday business hours — cash or check only. There are some periods when the gated lot is closed while deliveries, construction crews, or special events make use of the gated lot.
Take the CTA (the “L”) Purple Line (Linden) north from the city center. Disembark at the Noyes Street stop. Head east for 3 blocks. On Sheridan Road walk south for one block. The Garrett Place driveway ends in a circular turn-around on the East side of the street. The library is right inside the door under the square tower. Please note that the Purple Line only runs between the city center Loop and Linden during rush hours on weekdays. Mid-day, weekends, and late evenings one must take the Red Line to Howard and change to the Purple Line at Howard. The Purple Line schedule is located here.
