Virtual Study Room
September 1, 2020
Want to study together while we are apart? During the fall semester, a Virtual Study Room will be available from 8:30 am until 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Visit the Virtual Study Room to connect with classmates and support each other’s study, research, and writing. If desired, the library can set up a virtual breakout room for individual/group study as well, just email us to request this. We hope that this helps you remain connected during this time of distance and uncertainty.
Librarians will also hold virtual office hours in the study room from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Stop by if you have any questions about library resources or research.
Tips: Make sure you have Zoom downloaded on your phone, tablet, or computer, then click on the link below to enter (or dial in by phone using one of the numbers listed and entering the passcode). Alternatively, you can open Zoom directly in your browser. Once you have successfully logged in, you can choose to mute yourself if you want quiet time or leave the volume on so you can check in with friends. Be sure to click on “Gallery View” at the top right if you want to see others working in the study room; you can share your camera as well. If the study session times out, just click on the Zoom link to sign in again.
Due to some security issues with Zoom, we have added a password to the Virtual Study Room. To access the room, you will need to log into this Moodle page to view the link and phone numbers.
*Please note, you may need to self-enroll in The Styberg Library's Moodle site to view the Zoom information for the virtual study room. Once you enroll, you can find the "Zoom Sessions" page at the bottom of the Welcome box. Click on the link to view the Zoom information. If you need help with this, feel free to contact us.
