Update on Services
May 26, 2020
The Styberg Library remains committed to serving the academic and research needs of the seminary community during this uncertain time. To that end, we have adapted our services to an online/distance format.
During this time, all of our online resources will remain available. You can find them directly by searching in USearch and clicking the links within the item records. For more information about using Usearch, see this guide. For tips on finding online resources, see this guide. To learn more about our online resources, please consult the Distance Learning page.
Our online databases will also remain available, as will the religion databases and research guides. Also, check out this guide which features online resources that have recently been made freely available. Additional helpful tutorials and handouts can be found on this page.
Please note, we will not have access to the physical library for an indefinite period of time, so we cannot provide any print resources or in-person services. We also cannot provide access to the library. As a result, we have disabled the Request feature in USearch. In addition, we cannot provide any scans of physical materials at this time. Interlibrary loan is not available either.
If you need to renew materials and have reached the maximum number of renewals, we can easily renew them for you, just contact us using this form.
If you are ready to return your items, you can simply place them in the large silver book drop in front of the main building. It is to the left of the main entrance, close to the accessible, ground-level entrance. You can then disregard any overdue notices/fines for the items that you returned.
We will remain available via chat (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday), phone, email, and Zoom. We will also hold virtual office hours during the week from (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.). We are here to help you with your library/research needs.
Please let us know if you have any questions about our updated services.
