Student Workers

Students attending Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and eligible for College Work Study awards may be considered for available Student Library Assistant openings in the library's technical services department or at the circulation desk. Student job openings are listed on Garrett's myGETS or students may contact Mary-Carol Riehs, Student Worker Supervisor, to inquire about job availability. Typically, library student assistants are hired at the beginning of the fall semester.

Basic information for student applicants: It is not possible to do homework while "working" in the library. Please do not apply unless you can give 100% of your attention to your library work tasks. Typical student work activities include some combination of data entry, book processing, book reshelving, book repair, digitizing, application of security devices, assisting patrons, checking books in and out, book shifting/relocation, and other tasks as they arise.
